Engineering Plastics (Amorphous)

PC – Polycarbonate – clear, colourless polymer used extensively for engineering and optical applications. It possesses excellent impact strength, high heat resistance and good dimensional stability. Available as both linear and branched PC types. PC can be modified with a range of fillers including for example flame retardants and glass.

PC Alloys – Examples of PC Alloys include – PC/ABS, PC/PMMA, PC/PET, PC/PBT, PC/SAN/SEBS, co-siloxane grafted.

(m)PPO – Polyphenylene Oxide – high temperature thermoplastic typically mixed with either Polystyrene or Nylon to improve on the processing and material stability.

(m)PPE – Polyphenylene Ether – high temperature thermoplastic typically mixed with either Polystyrene or Nylon to improve on the processing and material stability.

mPPE | mPPO – modified Polyphenylene Oxide | Ethers – They combine the inherent benefits of PPE resin (affordable high heat resistance, good electrical insulation properties, excellent hydrolytic stability and the ability to use non-halogen FR packages), with excellent dimensional stability.
